Question

V-Log footage that has been colored in Premiere is exporting back to V-Log

I recently shot an interview using a Panasoic EVA-1 and a Lumix S5IIX. My Lumix files were shot in V-Log at All-I settings for 4k. When I matched the video files in Premiere, the EVA-1 files exported fine with color changes, while my Lumix S5IIX files kept exporting back to V-Log at the final render, it makes no sense because both are exported with the same settings. I tried applying the Adobe LUT file to keep it the same but it had no effect on the final render. Is this a current bug with Premiere Pro 2023?

What color space is showing for the Lumix files in the Properties panel? As if PrPro sees "HLG" for those clips ... then you would be getting the behavior I would expect. They would need to have the Override-To option set to Rec.709 in the Project panel, right-click/Modify/Interpret Footage.

If it's seeing those as Rec.709 clips, that would be a puzzler.
