RH 2017 - applying tags for dynamic filters

Hi,

When we apply tags to content that we want to dynamically filter, do we apply it on the ToC or in the project manager or both?

Should the structure in the project manager be the same as the one in the ToC?

The classic "it depends" answer.

If you just want to filter a topic out of the TOC but have it still in what the user can access via links, search, index etc, then you apply the tag to the TOC.

To filter a whole topic out so that the user cannot access it by any means when the filter is applied, apply the tag to the topic.

To filter out just some of the content of a topic, apply the tag to that content.
