3DConnexion 3D mouse doesn't work with Adobe Acrobat standard

Hi,

I know this topic has been brought up in other posts, but the lone suggestion of changing the security settings does not work for me, and I don't believe it works for anyone else. This ought to get resolved.

If anyone has a solution and proof that it works please let us know. If anyone has ideas please let me know and I'll try them.

Thanks in advance.

I feel your frustration as it seams that every few months my 3D mouse will stop working the way I want it to in Acrobat and I try all the same things and sometimes I get it back quickly and sometimes I give up until I try again (or it just starts working again. Today this is what I did:

After checking that both my 3DxWare software as well as Acrobat Adobe were both up-to-date I followed went to Adobe Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced). My "Run in AppContainer" was already unchecked (formums say this is the issue) so I unchecked "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" and selected "Protected View" Off. I then restarted Acrobat and my 3D mouse is working again --- for now.

I was able to reinstall Adobe Reader DC 2019, the 3DConnexion SpacePilot functionality of which is not broken, using the Software Center after Acrobat was installed by Adobe Creative Cloud. So I can now choose to have my full scrolling capability (which I need more often) in Reader or the ability to edit a PDF in Acrobat.
