Adobe opens windows where i'm not signed in

This is crazy frustrating.  I have Acrobat Pro and am signed in on all browsers and in the adobe app on the desktop.  But certain files, every time I open them, a new window is opened that's very basic and there is no where for me to sign in.  It has an icon saying 'upgrade now to pro'.  I'll click upgrade and then the browser opens telling me I already am a member of pro.  This really is driving me crazy.  I try to open the file from within the pro app where I'm signed in and it just doesn't open, always that new window with limited features.  Does anyone have any clue what to do?  I've already signed out and signed back in.
