Intertrust has released an updated version of its Doc Box plugin for Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and Acrobat Reader 5.0.

Users that require the Intertrust digital rights management system in order to open secure pdf files are encouraged to download the new plugin. This new plugin also fixes problems for people who had system or debugger conflicts with the Doc Box plugin.

NOTE: This update is not supported on Windows 95. If you are using Windows 95 and are having issues with DocBox.api, simply remove any and all instances of this plugin. You can find the plugin by doing a search for "docbox.api" on your system.

I downloaded Reader 5.0 twice and also the DocBox update and still get the error message--"Invalid Page fault in module docbox.api When starting Acrobat 5.0 at 0137:37023915. I'm using Win95 Version A. What can I do to correct this problem.

Can you insert a pdf file into a powerpoint presentation without changing the pdf to a jpeg?

I, too, was unable to run 5.0 from 95 (even with the upgrade). I deleted docbox.api (only 1 instance) and finally got 5.0 to run.
Thanks for the advice I found here.

Gee, this is the first time I've heard about any incompatibility. Have you called Microsoft Tech Support?

Acrobat will not install with windows xp. Is this a known problem. Keeps givine me an error and stops installation.
Tried to install with compatiblity wizard as windows 2000, but still no difference.

No, and803, Reader comes with a docbox.api file. You downloaded an update that doesn't work either.

    and,

Reader 5 WILL work with Win95, only the upgrade for docbox.api will not work with Win95. Deleteing ALL INSTANCES of docbox.api has proven to remedy the illegal operation problem, even with Win95A.

Use Start>Find>Files and Folders to locate them all. If you downloaded and installed the upgrde, I am sure you will find several. Seven is the record so far. See if you can break it!
