BEWARE - Certified by Adobe Sign Only Prevents Editing in Acrobat, Allows Export to Other Format
I signed a document using the built-in Adobe Sign feature and assumed my document was secure when I returned the executed agreement to its originator. I was wrong ... Even though the document can no longer be edited in Acrobat, the orignator exported the document to MS Word including the full electronic signature.
How is this even possible? Not very secure in my opinion. If the file can't be edited, why can it be exported?
The originator then MODIFIED the verbiage of the agreement and expected my signature to still be valid.
And I know this won't hold up legally, but come on. Why do I even have to fight this fight?
