Bought ix500 scanner from Newegg in 2103, never opened. Can the included Adobe Acrobat be upgraded

Hi, I bought a ScanSnap ix500 new from Newegg in 2013. Long story, never opened or used it or the included software. I'd like to sell it and I'm sure potential buyers will want to know if the included free copy of Adobe Acrobat can be upgraded to a contemporary version if it has not been installed or registered with Adobe yet. If so, would the upgrade be free also? How do they go about getting the upgrade? Thanks in advance---

No. You can only upgrade from Acrobat 2017 currently, which was obviously not around in 2013...

My guess is it has Acrobat XI, which is a very good version actually, but is no longer supported by Adobe and it has some issues on computers with a current OS.
