Question

Chaos in form fields in Adobe Acrobat Pro

Hello everyone,

My whole team recently switched from Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to Adobe Acrobat Pro, which we use to create fillable forms (usually more than 10 pages long). The forms are always very similar, so we use the technique of replacing the pages of an older document with a new one to reuse the fields. Sometimes however, we need to cut and paste some fields to a previous or next page to correctly place them.

Ever since we switched, the three of us have the exact same issue: when we do this cut and paste of several fields  from one page to another in the same document, the pasted result is all over the place.

For example, let's say we have from top to bottom:

- textfield1

- checkbox1

- checkbox2

- textfield2

- textfield3

Then, the pasted result would be:

- textfield3

- checkbox1

- textfield2

- checkbox2

- textfield1

This is completely random, not all cut and paste do this (maybe 3 out of 5?), sections that work on my colleague's computer don't work on mine, it can be a mix of checkboxes and textfields, or only checkboxes. We checked the tabbing order, it doesn't seem to be the issue. All properties of the fields also seem to be the same.

This is starting to be a real issue here as we cannot perform our job correctly/efficiently anymore, so any idea of a solution would be welcome here.

Thank you!
