Converting to PDF from Word 2010 - will not generate custom page size

Hi, I am trying to create a business card layout to send to a printing company. The printer requires 1/8" bleed on all sides, so 0.25" total added to H and W of standard 3.5" x 2" size to make 3.75" x 2.25". I have this all laid out in Microsoft Word (2010 for Windows 10). I am trying to create a PDF of that size to send to the printer. But no matter what I try, Acrobat DC always generates 8.5x11.  I tried the following:

- Setting the Page Setup in Word to a custom size of 3.75 x 2.25

- Setting the print output in Word to a Custom Page Size of 3.75x2.25

- Going into Printer Properties, Adobe PDF Settings, and:

     - generating a Default Settings called "businesscards" with default page size 3.75x2.25

     - Under Adobe PDF Page Size, adding a new setting called "Business Cards" that is 3.75x2.25

Nothing works. I always get a PDF that's 8.5 x 11 with the business card turned ccw 90 degrees in the center of the top of the page.

Any ideas?? Thanks!
