How often is Adobe's EUTL server sync'ed with the EU's TSLs?
Hello all,
For me it is completely mysterious as to what is the update frequency of Adobe's EUTL server(s) with the TSLs published by each EU country's supervisory body in charge of granting and withdrawing the qualified status for trust service providers, and which is responsible for establishing, maintaining and publishing their respective country's trusted list.
Does anybody know?
Personnaly, I find that the lack of this information should be classified as a bug.
Why? Because Adobe provides one of the very best PAdES signature validation application in the world.
Thousands of companies and users actually rely on this tool to properly validate digital signatures coming from their customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, etc.
The fact that Adobe put in place the very stringent AATL program, EUTL support, personal trust configuration parameters and setup and many other digital signature validation features are an evident proof that Adobe takes this matter very seriously.
So now that we have this most valuable tool well in hand for validating digital signature transactions, nobody actually knows when a particular set of critical new information in the EU's TSLs will be taken into account, thus rendering Adobe's validation feature suddenly useless...
If at least there was some indication of an update frequency, it would be possible when a validation problem occurs, to wait until the next update cycle to perform the validation process again so as to get proper confirmation that the validation problem is not due to a trust setting issue.
Would be very happy to learn what others and Adobe have to say on this important matter.
