Inconsistent Accessibility Checker Results for across Multiple Computers

I have a document that I've run through the Accessibility Checker on two different computers. On the first computer, the document passes with no errors. However, when I run the same document through the Accessibility Checker on the second computer, it gets flagged for annotation and an alt text image issue.

I'm a bit perplexed by the inconsistency in results. The document in question is crucial for my work, and it's essential that it meets all accessibility guidelines. Can anyone shed light on why the Accessibility Checker might be producing different outcomes on two machines? Has anyone else experienced this type of discrepancy before?

2 reasons come to mind:

  • Different versions of Acrobat DC Pro on both computers, and
  • Different settings are checked/unchecked in the Checker's dialogue box.

Acrobat's built-in Accessibility Checker is periodically updated with new releases of Acrobat Pro.

So check the version/build number of Acrobat on both computers.  Here's a recent blog about how to view this information and the URL to Adobe's release notes.
