Missing bookmarks

I used to be able to right click on a Word file in File Explorer, select Convert to PDF, and have bookmarks in the PDF of the Word headings; no longer. The only way to convert a Word doc to PDF and have bookmarks is to have the Word doc open and either use the Acrobat tab or Export to PDF. Why?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the delayed response.

If you are still experiencing this issue, please try the steps below:

1. open the Word file.

2. Go to Acrobat ribbon in the menu bar

3. Go to Preferences > and make sure the option 'Create bookmarks' is selected and click OK and check if that works.

Hope this will help.
