PowerPoint Links to PDF files open in Acrobat, not default app

I use several PDF apps (in Windows 11) for different reasons. When I click on PDF file links from MS PowerPoint, the file always opens in Acrobat despite my changing the default PDF app to a non-Acrobat PDF program. The only solution to this is unistalling Acrobat. Then, the links open in the default PDF app, whichever one I choose. Is there another solution, in which I can keep Acrobat installed on my PC, since I use it for other purposes? All of my software is the most recent version . . . newest Acrobat DC, PowerPoint 365, and Windows 11.

Hi deanhf100,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Please let us know how you created the PowerPoint and added a PDF link to the file. Share the steps you use.

Could you share the PowerPoint file with us so we can look into this? Also, let us know if this happens with all other files.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
