Problems with combining files - Security Level Set To High

I am trying to create a PDF by combining Excel and Word files.

When I try to do this, I get an error message:

 

I have checked Acrobat is up to date.

I have done a repair on Office.

There appears to be a lot of people asking the same question, but very little answers out there, can anyone help please?

This is happening to a few machines in our organisation.

Hi,

Can you confirm the following:

  • the exact versions of the operating system and software you are using
  • the extensions of the files you are trying to combine (doc, docx, xls, xlsx,...)
  • the steps you take to combine your files (
    • from Acrobat, File > Create...
    • from Windows explorer (or Finder), select several files > right-clicjk > combine files in Acrobat
    • other method
