Unusual embedded font error

Hi - When exporting a file from InDesign to PDF, I'm getting the embedded font error message below.   That it cannot extract "QLCJFS+EBGaramond-Regular".   Each time I try exporting, the "QLCJFS" in this message is a different 6-letters.  The font works in InDesign, and is installed in my system fonts.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

    This is an indication of corrupt embedded font in the PDF file. Please check the correct answer marked in the similar discussion below and see if that works:

    Also please check the export settings in InDesign and see if that helps

    Thank you, but I am the creator of the PDF (in InDesign) and each time I regenerate it I get the similar error (different 6 letters in the font name).  The font works in InDesign.
