"Movie not loaded"

New Here ,
Oct 05, 2016 Oct 05, 2016

I have been trying to open up a training video on a website for work. The video opens in a separate window from where the link is located. I have tried to access the video from IE10 and Google Chrome (up to date version: 53.0.2785.143). I am using Windows 7 Professional and the flash player version is the most up to date: 23.0.0.162. The flash player works on most websites (on the troubleshooting page for adobe, the video of the tree with clouds floating by worked fine), but not for others. I was trying to access the videos on http://agilemethodology.org/ , but every time I clicked on the movies, a new window would open (CollabNet's Scrum Training Series - Backlog Refinement Meeting ), and it would be left blank. When I right click on the blank window, it shows "Movie Not Loaded..." greyed out. It also shows "Check for updates...," and "About Adobe Flash Player 23.0.0.162..." None of these do anything. I checked both IE and Chrome to make sure that they allowed cookies. I went through the entire troubleshooting steps located on adobe's website: Troubleshoot Flash Player games, video, or audio| Windows. None of these worked, however, there was one step that I could not complete: step 8. The reason I could not complete it was because of the same issue for why I am posting on this forum. When I accessed the site to change the storage limits for specific websites (Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel ) The settings panel, which is displayed through Adobe Flash Player, would not load, and when I right click on the empty space, it shows "Movie Not Loaded...," "Check for updates...," and "About Adobe Flash Player 23.0.0.162..."

Please let me know what else I can do.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce in either IE or Chrome.  I tried several videos on the http://agilemethodology.org/  site and they all load (Windows 7 Enterprise x64 with latest Chrome and IE 10).

Please provide direct URL to games on pogo.com that are exhibiting the bheaviour and post screenshots of the behaviour being observed.

Also, try the following:

For Chrome

  • navigate to chrome://plugins
  • look for Adobe Flash Player
  • select the 'Always allow to run' check box
  • Attempt to view one of the videos that you report doesn't load.
  • Does it load now?

Another item to check in Chrome is to ensure plugins are set to always run:

  • In Chrome, go to chrome://settings/content
  • In the Content Settings window, scroll down to the Plugins section
  • Select 'Run all plugin content'
  • Also, click on the Exceptions button - are there any exceptions listed?  If so, what are they (post a screenshot)

For IE 10, ensure Flash Player is enabled and ActiveX Filtering is disabled (see Enable Flash Player for Internet Explorer)

LATEST

I have a similar issue but different website.

rgstudios : 네이버 카페

In the first row, the video on the very right.

In the second row, the very first video.

(sorry, this korean website is weird and I can't ever figure out how to link directly to the video page)

These are the only 2 out of the 26 videos that have the "movie not loaded" issue from the website.

I had previously seen these two videos last year with no issue.

Issue occurs on Firefox and IE.

Where the player box is pure white

I have done all that you suggested m_vargas for both browsers and the issue persists.

I am up to date with all browsers and I have the newest release of flash player too.

I cannot do anything on Chrome as it says "This plugin is not supported" even though my pepper flash is ver 23.0.0.166 and I've tried toggling PPAPI on and off.
