Hallo, ich hoffe ich stelle meine Frage auf dem richtigen Weg. Ich habe eine

PDF-Datei die DIN A3 groß ist. Ich kann nur DIN A4 drucken. So wird der

Ausdruck runter skaliert. Kann ich im Druckfenster etwas anklicken, dass

eine A3 Seite auf zwei A4 Seiten gedruckt werden?

Vielen Dank.

Freundliche Grüße,

Bernhard Nowak

Hi Ragatio,

If you are referring to print PDF in A3 format, it can be done from the printer properties.

Open the PDF and click on Print icon.

Then select the printer name from the drop-down list.

Capture print1.PNG

Now go to Properties tab > Paper quality and click on "Custom" tab.

Capture print 2.PNG

Then click on new and enter any name for the size and the measurement below.

Once done, click on "Add" at the bottom.

Capture print 3.PNG

Now you can select that size to Print the PDF as you required.

To print two PDF pages on a single A4 sheet, go to Properties tab in Print window.

Select A4 from the drop-down of "Paper size" under "Printing Shortcuts" tab.

select paper size.PNG

Then click OK at bottom.

Now click on "Multiple" tab and then select the number from the drop-down of Pages per sheet.

Capture print 4.PNG

Once done, you can check the preview window at right and print the PDF.

Check if this helps.

Let us know if you are referring to something else or if you need any help.

Here's the answer you are looking for:

Like me, you had an A3 page but can only print to A4. The A3 page has too much detail to be shrunk to A4, so you were wondering if you could print it out as two A4 pages.

I had the same question but I couldn't find the answer I wanted. Most answers recommended 'tiling' but this didn't work.

This answer will only work for a few A3 pages, as it's time-consuming. So, in Adobe Acrobat, use Tools->Pages

Then use the crop function to crop half of your A3 page to what you want to print. Double-click the area you've selected and click OK. Then print this out as shrink to fit, as a portrait-sized A4.

Undo the crop, and then crop the other side of the page and repeat. Voila, two A4s out of your A3!
