Acrobat Pro DC crashes on opening pdf file

Hai all, since upgrading from Acrobat XI to DC i got a couple of problems.

First off when Acrobat is not running at all and i want to open a pdf file by double clicking on it i see that it gives it some thought but it will not open the file. Not a singel file will open this way.

When Acrobat runs it can open files by double clicking on them. So it seems a launch issue.

I also have an issue when opening acrobat and i click on tools without first waiting a couple of minutes, Acrobat chrashes with a not responding message.

Seeing as i need to roll out 35 Acrobat DC installs and 13 Adobe CC installs i will for now stop rolling these out.

Does anyone have a solution for my problems?

I found that it's the plugin Pitstop Pro that causes the crash. Without the plugin it runs fine. But as soon as the plugin is in the plugins folder it starts to crash.

Also i found that some documents wont print. I'm not getting a preview. My collegue who runs Acrobat XI can just preview them fine and print them.

Can we expect Adobe to work on a solution for the Pitstop Pro problem?

Hi ,

Sorry to hear you are experiencing such an issue .Could you please tell if you see any error message along ?If so please share the screen shot of the same .

It seems to me that installation of Acrobat Licensing Module has failed that is why you are unable to open a PDF and Acrobat crashes .

You could refer the following document to get this issue sorted .Please have a look once and see if this fixes it .

Not sure why you expect Adobe to help, you probably need to talk to us.

Can you please contact 'support@enfocus.com' and they will assist you.

Please give them as much information as you can, Acrobat version, PitStop version etc.

You don't mention which PitStop version you are using, does your PitStop version support Acrobat DC?

You should be running either PitStop Pro 12.3 or PitStop 13 as these are the only two versions that work with Acrobat DC.

You can always drop me a mail if you want to chat, I am the product manager for PitStop. 'andrewb@enfocus.com'
