Hello Adobe Acrobat tech support and forum, Please help me. I am a musical arranger / conductor who works with 11" x 17" size PDF scores printed on heavier stock paper and bound together in book format. I generally have 12-15 scores with 10 -20 pages per score on the conductor's stand per performance. That equals many page turns, much movement of the music and the weight and bulk of carrying and checking the scores for airline travel to different venues.
I of course would like to go paperless, and would prefer using a micro-computer with dual video card powering two approx. 21.5" monitors - stood on end in portrait orientation. I would like to use a page turning pedal apparatus in conjunction with a music reader/ page turn program to handle the turning of pages, order of scores, songlists, and all PDF music charts.
I do not want to use a large single monitor in landscape orientation. I must have the viewing height of the screen to be at least 17" so I am looking at the score pages in actual size (not reduced to fit the monitor) - hence two screens stood on end in portrait orientation. I really need to see one 11"W x17"H on each monitor screen - just as if I was looking at the real paper scores and then be able to advance forward or backward through the pages and to the next score using a pedal.
To be clear - I desire left screen to display page one in actual size 11”W X 17”H and right screen to display page two in actual size (11”W X 17”H As I scroll forward, the pages would advance just as if I was flipping through the actual bound score. This involves being able to view separate pages of the same PDF file on different monitors. Is this possible, and can you do it?
I believe there would be many conductors who are not happy with being forced into reduced size viewing if they want to go paperless. Please help me, or point me in the right direction so I can solve this problem.
Than you in advance for your knowledge and expertise,

There are products that can do this: https://www.google.com/search?q=music+reader+dual+monitor&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
You could contact these vendors and ask if it supports your requirements.

I can't see how carrying large format paper vs. large monitors and computer equipment is an easier option... but agree with Gene - there are hardware options out there. Do a search and you will find vendors. Otherwise, you are looking at a custom coded application and hiring a programmer to put it together. You do not require dual video cards in your described setup as there are many video cards out there that will support dual monitors (or more). Good luck.

Thanks Dale,
I'm not being dismissive with Maria's request, but I did not believe the Adobe Acrobat Reader/Standard/Pro product line can be set up as a PDF music reader for dual monitors, and so it's best to at least give a Google link that should list a few product solutions.

I agree 100%. They don't support dual screen - I never indicated they did. Maria will need a custom application that cannot be found here.
