Hi all,
i am looking to create a pdf form out of an existing pdf document. If i go to edit said document it detects all the texts and puts the little boxes around it so i could edit the text. But if i now go to "Prepare Form" it does not automatically detects the textboxes as form boxes.
Is there a way to convert the text into form fields?
I hope i could describe my problem well enough. Thanks in Advance,
Henrik

No, that is not possible. If the form fields detection wizard didn't pick up the fields you want then you'll need to create them yourself, either manually or by using a script.

The form fields detection wizard is quite limited in what it picks up. It depends a lot on the structure of the file. It can provide a good starting point (or not), but the process will almost always require quite a bit of manual editing and adding of fields after running it
So after you have run your existing document through Prepare Form Tool, you can make use of the Form Fields toolbar on top (also available in Right Click> to add fields.
You can use the Properties dialog to customize the appearances as well.
