PDF Form: error message on Submit Form button

Hi All,

Joined the forum late last night ( midnight late) and am so grateful for the quick reply from several of you

to questions on PDF forms that have me stumped.

Here's my recent puzzle:
Why am I getting a "This Operation Not Permitted" when I test my Submit Form button?

I'm following a You Tube video to the T:

All Properties > Actions > Mouse Up > Sumbit Form > Add: mailto: kristine@lifebetweentheears.com > PDF the Complete Document > OK
Then am saving the document as the new version name, opening in Reader to test since my customers won't have Acrobat Pro,

and multiple times, continue to get the Error message. And the weird thing is that on previous versions, I'm pretty sure I had it working

correctly at some point.

Any help much appreciated.

It will do this when using a version of Reader prior to Reader 11 if the document is not Reader-enabled. WHen you submit the entire PDF, it must be saved first, something that Reader 10 and before normally can't do. Acrobat and Reader 11/DC don't have this restriction, so they are able to submit complete PDF forms that have not been Reader-enabled.

Hallelujah.

Right again, George!

I had upgraded to Reader XI yesterday but it was not recognizing it until I ditched version 9 icon from my

dock. And now it works!

I presume this means when I send this order form to my customers, that it will only be

submittable back to me if they, too, have Acrobat Reader version XI, correct?

Kristine

You can Reader-enable the form with Acrobat and users with older versions will be able to submit.

To do this with Acrobat DC, select: File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools
