I am using Adobe Acrobat Standard DC 2015 Classic ver. 2015.006.30417 on windows 7 32bit

I have a 222 pages pdf file. Use the mouse right click the file, choose combine file in Acrobat function, a windows pop up and show all the pages in that file, then i remove 54 blank pages and remain 168 pages. Click the combine file button, it should produce a new file with 168 pages, but only 84 pages outcome, p.85- 168 is missing. What is the problem?

I also try other pdf more than 200 pages, the same issue outcome.

I try not to remove too much page in once time. For example remove 20 blank pages, then the new file is OK, no missing pages.

And if i open the pdf file and edit it, it will also ok no missing pages.

It seems to me that you are asking Acrobat to combine multiple files into one PDF.  But instead of combining files, you are asking the presented dialog box to instead edit that PDF by reducing the included pages.  When you hit the combine button ultimately, it does not have the parameters it needed to complete the combine task.  I don't have the Standard version at hand, but could you try to use the Organize Pages toolset in Acrobat and try to remove the pages from there?  I'd be curious to know if your results are better that way.

I hope this is helpful.

My best,

Dave

Yes.  I mentioned above,  if i open the pdf and edit by using organize Pages toolset in Acrobat then it is fine.

But I still want to know why there is a bug. As Acrobat memtioned  user can use this function to edit pages.

Hi Musyui,

Sorry for the delayed response.

Are you still facing this issue? If yes, please try rebooting the machine once and check if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, try resetting preferences for Acrobat using the steps given in this link: How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default, reboot the machine after and check.

Thank You,

Shivam
