I received a .pem certificate file for my client's payment gateway and another zip file with his user credentials in it. I was told to drop the file where the store resides. However, this information is of no use to me since I am new to Business Catalyst. How can I connect successfully to the Global Gateway API? Do I need to do this through the Dreamweaver Business Catalyst extension? I don't see a way to connect in the client's admin area of his BC site.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

HI there,
Does not work like that. You should have researched BC a bit more before going ahead with that. Sorry to be blunt there but you will see why..
BC runs its own certification to use for secure content and for the ecommerce side. You do not need your own certificate and nor can you install it either.
BC also will only function taking payments using the payment gateways listed here:
http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/supported-payment-gateway-providers.html
You can not run others not listed in BC.

Yeah that's what I thought. The client just gave me the payment gateway info from whoever decided they were going to use FDGG. I will tell them to choose a different gateway so we can finish this project. Thanks!

Thanks By chance, is there any way that Business Catalyst knows First Data Global Gateway by any other name? The other programmers I work with are telling me that FDGG may be called something else when it comes to Adobe, like YourPay or Linkpoint?
