Missing profiles in Camera Raw

Does anyone know why you can't apply profiles to JPEG's and TIFF's in Camera Raw any more?

I've tried installing older versions of Photoshop but it just doesn't seem to work anymore?

Moving to Adobe Camera Raw from Photoshop

Adobe Color, Adobe Standard, Adobe Landscape, etc. NEVER worked with JPEG/TIFFs.  These are raw only profiles.  There are many profiles that do work with JPEG/TIFFs.  Pick the Browse... item from the popup menu.
