QUESTION: I recently bought a Nikon D 7500 and needed to download a new camera raw (9.1.1) to view raw images from this camera. I downloaded and installed as directed the camera raw viewer 9.1.1 but in Bridge CS 6, I still see only an icon in place of my raw image which still will not open in camera raw. Am I doing something wrong? Any help much appreciated. Fred
Camera raw 9.12 is the plugin you need, but unfortunately cs6 is too old to use that version.
Camera raw 9.1.1 is the newest version for cs6, but that is older than camera raw 9.12
Cameras supported by Camera Raw
You can use the adobe dng converter to convert the D7500 nefs to dng copies, which then bridge cs6 or photoshop cs6 should open.

Hi Fred,
Sorry that you cannot open your raw images from Nikon D7500 in Bridge CS6.
Could you please make sure that Bridge CS6 is updated to the most recent updated version?
Also, take a look at this article Generic icons | Camera raw files | Adobe Bridge and let us know if that helps.
Thanks,
Akash

The Nikon D7500 was first supported in Camera raw 9.12.
As JeffArola mentioned, please use DNG converter to process raw files from camera to DNG or you need to upgrade to Photoshop CC.
Thanks,

Adobe's published list of supported cameras indicates that Camera Raw 9.12 is required to support the D7500. You are going to have to use the DNG converter if you want to continue using Photoshop CS6.
