Subwoofer doesn't work in chrome and firefox on youtube but works on IE and opera

I have a properly configured 5.1 system, 5.1 dts music can play with no problem, same with blue ray movies. However when I try to play music in chrome, on youtube, either in flash mode or html5, there is no subwoofer sound, same with firefox, both html5 and flash.
But what's weird is that subwoofer works perfectly and all 5 speakers also work in opera and internet explorer.

Also, the subwoofer used to work in chrome, I installed an extension that forced flash player instead of html5 and had 3 plug ins under flash player, i disabled all but npswf32 one and everyone was ok, sound ok, all speakers ok, subwoofer ok. But something happened and when I restarted the computer, chrome was updated, I realized that because of new way bookmarks work, and the sound was messed up, no subwoofer, sounds so bad.

Unfortunately, not all browser/OS configs allow us to provide more than stereo output.
