In 2010 I purchased a 32bit version of Photoshop CS5 Extended and Soundbooth CS5. Now Apple updates their software to Catalina which uses 64bit and neither of Adobe software products works.  HELP !!!!! I use both for my music and graphics.

The easiest solution is just to ignore the apple prompts to update to Catalina and stay on your current macOS that runs cs5. If you already updated then you should go back to your former macOS or subscribe to the creative cloud photography plan for around $10 a month so you always have the most current version of photoshop that works with the newest operating systems.

Catalina has been made and designed so you need all new apps. So you need to budget for that before deciding to upgrade. Shiny new things (and the cost of them) is all part of the Joy of Mac. Bear in mind old plugins won’t work either.

You can get some old plug-ins to load: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-and-macos-catalina.html#Pluginsnotfoundorcannotbeveri... But some will likely need to updated. Check with your 3rd party developers to see what their compatibility is and obtain notarized versions of their plug-ins: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/plugins.html

Stay on Mojave. If you get a new computer with Catalina, you'll have to upgrade the CC apps.
