This is happening to me rn. I used the Illustrator free trial too, and now a month later they are asking me to pay for a montly subscription, good thing is that I had put a digital card and they didn´t take my money... but still... they are asking me to update my payments methods and pay for a thing that I had already cancelled. [cursing removed].

I never started a monthly subscription in the first place. I only asked for a free trial, in the adobe guidelines, it says you can cancel it anything before the monthly subscription in case you don't want to pay for a product you didn't like. So, no. I won't pay for anything because it is not what I signed in, in the first place.

=============

Of course you did.  You gave Adobe your email address, payment card & expiration date, and then knowingly downloaded the products to your device.

Your actions demonstrate intent to join a plan to get a free 7-day trial, after which the free trial ended & converted to monthly billing. That's what you signed-up for.

See screenshots.  🤔

What you did or didn't do after that is on you. You were informed of what you were ordering and what was expected from you in return.  That's how e-commerce works.

The 7-day free trial rolls into a subscription if you don't cancel. After the free trial ends, you still have 14 days to cancel and get a full refund. See the dialogue box below with details.

You can't cancel online until your payment details are up-to-date with a valid payment card and expiration date. The system won't accept your request.

Hi maria_inês_9372,

I see that you have an Illustrator subscription under the ID that you are using here. There is an issue with the payment details for this subscription. Unless you update the payment details, you will not be able to cancel the subscription.

Know how to update the payment details: https://adobe.ly/43aRbuv.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi,

That wouldn't be a problem if I had wanted to pay for a subscription since the beginning. The THING is, I only asked for 7 day free trial, and cancelled it before having to pay and that is what it said in the Adobe guidelines when I was asking setting my account for the free trial. If Adobe provides a free trial, is for people to TRY the product before buying, NOT TO pay for the product when they didn't even tried it.
So, I'm not going to pay for anything, since I only wanted to experiment with adobe illustrator for the 7 day trial, as said that I could in the adobe guidelines.

You are telling me that I can only cancel it before paying. I NEVER asked for a subscription! I only ASKED for a FREE TRIAL.

And to be honest, if Adobe does this to every client (as I saw in this community, multiple people talking about) they are building a Scam company which I had no idea it was like it. I always had Adobe company in very high steam, but apparently it is not the case.

Thank you.

We are sorry for the experience you had, @maria_inês_9372.

Adobe offers a 7 days free trial. the money gets deducted only after the free trial. Also, if someone forgets to cancel the subscription within 7 days, they are still eligible for full refund if they cancel within 14 days.

I can see that you have canceled the subscription yesterday.

Let us know if you have any questions for us.
