I have a licenced, full cost version of Acrobat Standard XI which I want to install on a replacement laptop. I have deactivated the old version on the old laptop and installed on the new one.
It's saying it won't activate because there are too many licences already active. But this is not the case.
I have gone around and around with Adobe support online who eventually suggested posting on this forum.
Anyone have any bright ideas?

Dde, thanks for posting your question about managing the remaining activations for Acrobat XI. Please see https://adobe.ly/3Jn9ULI where this topic has been discussed. You will need to deactivate one of the previous installations, and verify the computer that is completing the deactivation process is up to date enough to contact Adobe servers to send the deactivation request, Dde. ^JW

Hey @Jeffrey_A_Wright - any update on the fact that I did deactivate on the old computer before installing on the new one? Thanks very much.

the deactivation has to be conveyed to adobe's servers. that requires updated security on the old computer. see https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/activation-limit-reached-for-non-subscri...
