Adobe Stock charged my credit card for 1 year without my permission

Explorer ,
Nov 25, 2025 Nov 25, 2025

- I only purchased Adobe Creative Cloud and all the apps (11/29/2024).

- (And Now 11/20/2025) I was recently notified of this, as an Adobe Stock subscription was made without my additional authorization. The credit card I provided for Creative Cloud was charged without my consent. If I had wanted to purchase Adobe Stock, I would have used a different credit card. This is unethical and unacceptable. I didn't buy it because I wasn't going to use it, and I haven't used it. Adobe also charged me an additional $15 to unsubscribe from Adobe Stock, which I did not have permission to do.

- I will report this to all US authorities and will be following up. I expect a resolution...

- I will report and follow up with (reportfraud.ftc.gov) and other institutions in the US. I will report this unethical behavior everywhere. I was an Adobe fanatic, but now I'm a negative advertiser. Bravo Adobe! 👎👎😡

😡

Hi @Fedayi385617790988,

Thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear about your experience. As checked, I am able to see you have posted this issue here as well:

As mentioned by Kanika there, the Creative Cloud and Stock subscription were both purchased on the same day. It appears that you purchased the Stock and Creative Cloud combo.

Regarding the additional fee of $15 for cancelling the subscription, this is applied because if you cancel a plan after 14 days of the initial purchase, a cancellation fee is charged. As you have an Annual, billed monthly plan, for an Annual, billed monthly plan: after 14 days, a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining balance of your contract obligation may apply. Your service will continue until the end of that month’s billing period.

You can check the refund policy here:

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
^AN

1- I definitely did not subscribe to Adobe Stock. I did not check Adobe Stock, which is unchecked by default. It could be a system error, or maybe a mouse slip. But I definitely did not check Adobe Stock, nor did I see it. Such a sales system cannot exist. A sale should be a serious action. And it should have asked for my credit card information again. That is the real problem.

2- On November 29, 2024, I only subscribed to Adobe Cloud All Apps. I wanted to cancel it about a week before November 29 this year. And the system asked for $15. How is that possible? Then the only communication tool, a bot, gave me a cancellation link. I canceled Adobe Cloud All Apps with this link. I don't know if I was charged an extra $15.

3- Then I saw the bills. At first, I didn't understand. Then I looked suspiciously and saw that I had become an Adobe Stock subscriber, and money had been withdrawn from my current credit card for one year without my permission. I wanted to cancel Adobe Stock about three days before November 29. The only communication tool, a robot, provided a cancellation link. But it didn't work, and it charged an additional $15.

4- I'm waiting for a solution.

5- I will report this issue to the relevant authorities.

6- I will share this issue on all relevant social media platforms.

As I mentioned, I couldn't reach the representative at all when canceling my subscription.

Then I could only share my complaint here.

Same problem here: I ended up paying for Adobe Stock for a year, which I never used and never wanted to subscribe to AT ANY TIME. I paid €432 for nothing, just for Adobe's nice pockets. Being unemployed, it was out of the question to pay the cancellation fees, which amounted to €400. I struggled to get through the months because of this shady sales tactic. Shame on you.

you have to fix payment problems. https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/kb/fix-failed-missed-payment.html

then you can cancel.  make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

and for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

if you're unable to follow the steps described, check your account (https://account.adobe.com) for a payment problem. all payment problems must be resolved before cancellation is enabled, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/kb/fix-failed-missed-payment.html

I wanted to share a serious issue we've been dealing with regarding Adobe charges, hoping to warn others.

For over a year, my husband's checking account has been hit with monthly charges for an Adobe subscription. We have checked every email address we own, and there is absolutely no paid, active subscription tied to our accounts.

Worse still, this is the second time Adobe has done this to us without our knowledge. The first time it happened, they acknowledged the charges weren't mine but only refunded the last three months, which was incredibly frustrating.

Because of the first incident, we completely stopped using Adobe and switched to Canva Professional. I honestly can't recommend Canva enough—it's an outstanding platform to have in my creative (i.e. multimedia marketing, building and maintaining business websites, video editing, etc) arsenal. BONUS: I've had ZERO billing issues with them.

Now, we are dealing with this unauthorized billing again. It's truly shocking that a company would tell us we made the "mistake" again when their system is clearly the one failing.

It seems a lot of us are experiencing continuous, unauthorized charges from Adobe even after canceling or having no active subscription.

If anyone out there has had luck resolving this matter, or can point me in the direction where I can file a complaint, I would be ever so grateful

Check your bank statements!
