Agent would not let me cancel despite being within 14 day refund period

I signed up for photoshop with a free trial and got a 2 month free trial. I was not able to cancel before the end of the free trial because I was travelling, but I contacted customer service to cancel it 2 days after the purchase for the annual plan went through. I saw on the terms and conditions it said you can cancel and get a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the purchase.

The agent tried to sell me another plan and tried to tell me I was not able to cancel. She kept saying the 14 days starts from the day the free trial starts. That makes no sense. Pursuant to the terms and conditions, which she sent me, the 14 days starts from the date of initial purchase, which is the day they first charge your credit card.

I was very frustrated and felt like this is very predatory to try to charge me $160 cancellation fee, despite that I was within the 14 day full refund period.

The 14 days start when your paid subscription starts. However, I do not know what 2-month free trial you got because the standard trial is 7 days. I would re-contact customer service and negotiate the exit.

i think the 14 days starts when your trial starts.  ie, 7 days after the trial ends.

Hi Sasha,

I see you have an Adobe account under the same ID as with forums. The subscription under this ID has been cancelled and a refund has also been initiated.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Thanks

Kanika
