My son has accidentally signed up for a one-year contract for After Effects. He is 15 years old. How do Adobe control purchases by minors? Could we have prevented this? He has a debit card with a small amount on it for direct purchases but how is it possible that he signed up for a one-year subscription?
Hi @EltonsAccount,
We appreciate you reaching out. I can see that the After Effects subscription associated with this account is cancelled now.
There should not be any transaction from the bank account.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Ask him if he signed up for a trial... which requires providing a payment to then become a subscription if the trial is not cancelled in time

Your son has now learned that you NEVER give your card number unless you actually mean to buy something

if you son can use your credit card details, he can use your id. ie, it's not the online vendor's fault you have problems with your son.
