I downloaded Adobe Illustrator a month ago thinking I could cancel my subscription anytime without being charged like most apps out there. I was baffled to see the cancellation charges that I have to pay for a month's usage. It's annoying that this information is unavailable to see unless you read the fine print. I am a struggling postgraduate student and have travelled halfway across the world to pursue my education. I am barely able to sustain myself with rent and loan payments. I wanted to cancel my subscription because I couldn't afford the monthly fee of £20 and now to cancel, it's going to cost me £100 which I can't spare. I come from a low-class family in India and don't have financial support as it is. I can't believe I've made this mistake and reading through the community I can see that a lot of people have been through the same thing and it is definitely unethical of Adobe to be doing this. I have been trying to contact support but the website freezes and doesn't load past the Contact Us page. I really need help regarding this immediately. The next month's charges are a few days away and I can't afford to pay it or cancel it. Kindly help me out as soon as possible.

When you 'click to agree' to the subscription terms while buying a subscription, that means that you really do need to read BEFORE you enter your credit card number to buy a subscription... See this page for more information, including a yellow highlited section from the subscription page https://community.adobe.com/t5/account-payment-plan-discussions/adobe-subscription-is-a-rip-off/td-p...

Adobe's Annual plans (and Student plans) are for a 12-month commitment. Here's a guide explaining the process which should help you find the best solution, and possibly save some time or money:

What You Should Know Before Canceling Your Adobe Trial or Subscription

Outside of that, we cannot really help further here, as this is primarily a user-to-user forum – so your best bet would be to contact Adobe Customer Care directly as others have suggested.
