If I cancel my prepaid (billed annually) plan that expires later this year, will I lose access to CC immediately, or will I continue to be able to use it until the next annual billing date?
I find I don't use the programs as regularly anymore, so it's not financially worth it. I only really use Illustrator and Photoshop, so the rest is a waste. When I need to use them again, I don't know - maybe I'll subscribe for a couple months and then cancel again. Not sure.
I really do miss the pre-subscription model days...
that is correct UNLESS you cancel. some users, in an attempt to prevent automatic renewal at the end of their subscription term, cancel in advance of the end of their contract. and that works well, if you cancel just before the end of your contact term because the cancellation is always immedicate. ie, if you cancel with some months left in your subscription, you lose those months of already paid-for usage.

>subscribe for a couple months and then cancel again
Subscriptions are annual and you pay 1/2 of the remaining time if you cancel early
EXCEPT
SOME programs are available Monthly https://community.adobe.com/t5/Get-Started/Being-charged-for-a-full-year-when-i-m-on-month-to-month/... - links and pictures

Hi there,
We appreciate you writing in. Happy to help!
We have checked your account and we see that you have an active Creative Cloud All Apps subscription under the email address associated with the community paid annually.
You can cancel your subscription anytime via your Adobe Account page or by contacting Customer Support . If you cancel within 14 days of your initial order, you’ll be fully refunded. Should you cancel after 14 days, your payment is non-refundable, and your service will continue until the end of your contracted term.
I am sharing a couple of help articles which will help you to understand how to

Hope the information was helpful to you. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Rashmi Swain

Hi,
Please explain the following: "Should you cancel after 14 days, your payment is non-refundable, and your service will continue until the end of your contracted term."
There are contradicting replies on this page, and I am concerned because of the negative feedback about Adobe online recently. No offense, but I need a clear answer. Will a person lose access to the apps if they cancel their prepaid annual subscription before the annual billing date? Yes or No?

here are the cancellation terms. select your plan type (at the top of the page) and read, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html . eg, for annual, paid monthly:
and despite the statement that service continues until the end of the month's billing period, you should anticipate, service may end immediately.

Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate it. I've paid for the whole year already so I guess I should have access until the end of the contracted term.

with annual payments, you lose access when you cancel. so, your strategy should be to cancel just 1 or 2 days before the renewal date. that way you have a little cushion in case you need help (cancelling).
