Cancelling subscription fee penalty

New Here ,
Jun 09, 2025 Jun 09, 2025

I accessed the free plan of Adobe Pro. I forgot to cancel it and was charged the monthly fee. Now I want to close the account, but I'm being asked to pay a high cancellation fee. How can I fix this situation? How can I switch my plan from annual to monthly and close my account without paying the cancellation fee, which was not clearly stated when I created the account? Thank you.

Someone from Adobe may contact you here but you might want to cross-post to this forum:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/account-payment-plan/ct-p/ct-account-payment-and-plan?page=1&sort=lat...

(Mention that it is a cross post.)

May I suggest whenever you do a trial, you put a reminder on your calendar the day before. That gives you time to deal with any problems during cancelation.

I don't know if they will take pity on your but you agreed to the terms, so it may depend on how much time as passed from the end of the trial.

a penalty for early cancellation was displayed.

check the first link to see how this is calculated.

make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

and for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

if you're unable to follow the steps described, you'll need to await help from an adobe employee for the next step.  (if you don't get a reply here from a badged employee within 24 hours, repost.)
