Charged Immediately for Adobe 7-Day Free Trial via Apple – Seeking Clarification

Hello everyone,

I’m seeking help regarding an issue I experienced while trying to activate an Adobe 7-day free trial.

I selected the free trial option for an Adobe app on my iPhone, but I was charged immediately instead of being allowed to use the trial period. Shortly after, I received an invoice email from Apple confirming that a purchase was made. This was not my intention, as I only wanted to test the app using the free trial.

The subscription appears to have been processed through Apple App Store billing, which may explain why Apple issued the invoice. However, I did not expect any charge at this stage.

At this point:

  • I do not want the free trial anymore
  • I want to ensure the free trial is canceled
  • I want confirmation that the subscription is fully canceled and that no further charges will occur

I would appreciate confirmation or guidance from Adobe on whether any additional steps are required.

Thank you for your assistance. I’d appreciate any clarification to help ensure this issue is fully resolved.

then cancel your subscription and after cancelling, check your account (https://account.adobe.com) to confirm it was cancelled:

make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

and for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

if you're unable to follow the steps described, check your account (https://account.adobe.com) for a payment problem. all payment problems must be resolved before cancellation is enabled, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/kb/fix-failed-missed-payment.html
