Coronavirus: Would Adobe Consider Free Individual Academic Subscriptions?

Many colleges and universities currently offer Adobe CC subscriptions for on-campus labs and classrooms, with thousands of students taking courses using their software. However this doesn't extend to students who use off-campus computers such as their own home computer, unless they subscribe to the CC Education plan.

Given the rapid developments in the Covid-19 pandemic, would Adobe be willing to offer a limited-time free subscription for qualified students belonging to these institutions? As of this post there are almost 200 colleges and universities that have moved online for the remainder of the spring semester. Most of these students will lose access to the classrooms and labs they've been using for said courses, and may struggle to complete their assignments.

This is a public user-to-user forum, not a direct pipeline to the Adobe corporate decision makers.

Your school should contact their software supplier to make arrangements for off-campus students to have access to what they require.

I'm pretty sure this would not be a 3rd party decision, so I don't see where contacting 'software suppliers' would play a role with corporate decision makers.

What I'm proposing is a suspension of academic pricing for the next few months.

Microsoft, Zoom and Google made similar moves for academic customers in the last 2 days.

This has to be initiated through proper channels starting at the school admins who have contracts with Adobe either directly or indirectly through resellers.

Just picked this snippet up on the Adobe grapevine:

"Adobe will be making an announcement later this evening in response to student software access at home during this time."
