Hi, it sounds like a school account is involved... Try contacting your school about this.

I moved your post to a better forum, Account, Payment & Plan.

Be VERY CAREFUL of what you are Signing up for.

That 4 month Redemption code offer may be for New Personal Accounts and also come with a 1 year subscription that automatically happens at the time you redeem the code. At the end of the 4 months Adobe will start Charging you the Normal Subscription rate. And then that Subscription will Auto Renew at the end of the year.

Also If you cancel at the end of the 4 months Adobe may charge you the cancelation fee of Half the amount owed for the remaining months of the subscription.

So if you really don't need any of the Adobe program ask yourself If you really want this offer.

LATEST

This is from the Learn More link on the page you referenced above.

After you provide consent, you are prompted to sign up for a new personal account where your assets are migrated. Once your account is verified, you are guided through to a series of steps to transfer your assets to the new personal account.

No where in that document, or anywhere I can see, is the mention of a 4 Month Redemption Code being given out.

But in any event all of this requires you to Start a New Personal yearly Subscription.

Then you said Your Friend used it. Did You Use it? Did your Friend get the 4 month Redemption code? Did your friend Sign Up for a personal subscription to the All Apps Plan?

Please Remember that there is NO FREE LUNCH.

In other words Adobe is Not giving you something and expecting Nothing in return.
