Is Adobe Allowed to Raise the Price of Its Photography Plan (Photoshop + Lightroom) by 51%

Dear community,

I've been paying €9.99 per month for years for my Photography Plan (Lightroom + Photoshop). Starting tomorrow, the price will increase to €15.12. Is Adobe allowed to raise its prices by 51% like this?

I appreciate the explanation regarding the pricing changes. I’ve now been helped well and ended up with a monthly price of €8.61, which I find reasonable. For context, I live in Europe.

Hi Elizabeth, If you get in touch with an Adobe representative through the chat function, you can ask them if they can make you a new offer. I pay now €8,61 p/m.

I had noticed that paying annually instead of monthly would be cheaper, so I reached out to discuss that. THe reason to start the conversation was the 51% raise of prices. During the conversation, they ended up offering me a new deal at €8.61/month, which was actually lower than what I was paying before. So it definitely helped to ask!

That's not correct. I had to pay much more per month/per year starting from May 2025.

That may be true for the USA. I live in Europe, and starting from May 2025, I really did have to start paying significantly more per month (+51%) or per year for Lightroom/Photoshop, also known as the Photography Plan.
