Lightroom Classic

New Here ,
May 08, 2025 May 08, 2025

Hey everyone! So, I can't seem to download Lightroom Classic onto my desktop. I tried upgrading to the Lightroom plan that has both regular Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, but when I tried to, the software said I already had that subscription. However, when I try to go to download the app off of Adobe Creative Cloud, it says I have to buy it. I tried asking the AI Help assistant for help, and it couldn't help. I also couldn't find a way to contact Adobe Support other than this way. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, some help would be greatly appreciated!

start here - https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/kb/stop-creative-cloud-trial-mode-after-purchase.html

if that fails, proceed to these steps - https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/resolve-trial-and-license-expired-errors.html

if that fails, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/adobe-license-issues-keychain-credential-mgr.html

if those all fail, change your cc language.  eg, try international english

if that fails, change the install location

Hi! Thank you so much for replying and for the helpful links. The issue seems to be at the Subscriptions page. If I check my subscription on Adobe, it says that Lightroom Classic isn't included in my plan. However, when I try to upgrade the plan to the one that includes Lightroom Classic, it says I already own the plan so I can't purchase it. Do you think I need to wait for my subscription to end, and then try to purchase it again? Here's what the page is displaying if you're curious:

copy and paste into a reply here a screenshot (after redacting personal information) of the plan (if any) you have now shown at https://account.adobe.com

Here is the plan, I have, as well as the apps included into the plan. The third screenshot is the plan I'm trying to upgrade to.

I was thinking about the photography plan, but I don't use photoshop as much. So I got the Lightroom plan. My issue comes in that it says Lightroom Classic is included in the Lightroom plan, but Adobe Creative Cloud won't let me install it. I tried doing what the links you replied with said, but it still says I need to buy Lightroom Classic even though the Lightroom plan says it's included in the plan.

when you click "manage plan" on your account page, can you add lrc (for no extra charge)?

I don't see an option to. I think I'd have to pay for LRC separately unless I buy a different plan.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Daphne, I can confirm that your subscription, managed through Apple, is active. Please see https://adobe.ly/4iWGTm1 for several common solutions that will unblock the computer from seeing the active subscription. ^JW

@Jeffrey_A_Wright

do you see lrc included because the "revert to trial" link was the first thing we tried and no lrc subscription is showing.

does apple sell a lr subscription that fails to include lrc?

I tried all of the troubleshooting options, yet Adobe Creative Cloud is still asking me to buy LRC.
