Need help canceling Creative Cloud Pro plan (Invoice Oct 16, Free 60-day offer accepted)

Hi Adobe Support team,

I’m writing to ask for help with my Creative Cloud Pro subscription. My invoice was issued on October 16, 2025, right after my free trial ended. At that time, my credit card had an issue, so the payment didn’t go through.

When I tried to cancel, I was offered a 60-day free extension, which I accepted. However, after reviewing the terms, I realized I might still be charged a large cancellation fee (around US$373.95) if I cancel early.

Since today is November 2, I’d like to clarify:

  • What’s the best way to cancel now while paying the lowest possible fee?

  • If I keep the free 60-day offer until January 1, 2026, and cancel before that date, will I still be charged the early cancellation fee, or can I cancel without penalty?

  • Is there any way to switch this to a monthly plan or trial without triggering the annual fee?

I haven’t used the service since the trial period ended and would really appreciate clear guidance on how to handle this situation in the most cost-effective way.

Thank you for your help!

changing plans usually results in no penalty.  but the lowest total cost (assuming you're getting no value from any subscription) is to cancel asap.

make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

and for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

if you're unable to follow the steps described, check your account (https://account.adobe.com) for a payment problem. all payment problems must be resolved before cancellation is enabled, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/kb/fix-failed-missed-payment.html

It seems that I’ll be charged a 50% cancellation fee if I cancel after 14 days from the initial purchase.

However, my invoice was issued on October 16, and the payment hasn’t gone through yet due to a card error.

Could you please clarify — is the “initial purchase date” considered the invoice issue date, or the date when the actual payment is successfully processed?

the day you start your trial is the start date. ie, when starting you receive a confirmation email from adobe. the date of that email is the recorded start date.
