Hi - I currently have a prepaid subscription for Photoshop and Lightroom till 2025, and just found out that Lightroom is now included in the creative cloud complete package 🤯 (it used to be not the case, just haven't paid attention to changes). Now I'm wondering, if I were to commit to the entire creative cloud, would that mean that my already prepaid subscription be paused or will it still run and I technically paid double for those two apps?
anyone have any experience with those type of upgrades?
thanks

it would run concurrently which would be a waste of your money. so contact adobe support and ask for a refund.
(and both lr versions and ps have long been part of adobe's all apps subscription.)
there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter (now x):
chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

yea I was worried about that...
I probably shouldn't have put codes in my account in advance but I was worried about losing them so I figured can't hurt.
we'll see if they can do a refund I don't have much hope because I bought it somewhere else...
thanks for the fast help and moving my post - U should definitely pay more attention to newsletters etc. from now on 🙈
hope you have a great weekend!

if you purchased the photography plan from adobe and now have an all apps plan purchased elsewhere, you've still got a shot at getting the photography plan refunded.

nope both purchased somewhere else 🙈🫣
I can probably still return the all apps plan and just keep living without premiere and edit on something else...
my own fault but still a bit of a bummer.

ouch. chances of any refund from adobe are close to zero.

yea that's what I thought.
I guess I was kinda hoping that it could somehow extend the photo plan for the duration of the added plan but that's probably tricky to implement...
the first couple years I kept wondering and asking why Lightroom wasn't included in the all apps plan then I just accepted it and never checked again.
thanks again for helping me I really appreciate it!! 🫶

you're welcome.
p.s. i don't remember a time when both lr and ps were not part of the all apps subscription, not it makes any difference now.

I've had that photo subscription for almost 10 years I think 🙈

i've had the all apps subscription since the subscription model started, 10 years ago, but that doesn't mean i remember all the apps available to me than.

it definitely wasn't in there for the first couple years... Photoshop yes but not Lightroom (which I use the most)

Lightroom (Classic) and Lightroom* (the cloud-based Lightroom) are part of Creative Cloud all apps since the subscription service started with Creative Suite 6 (at latest with Creative Cloud and Lightroom 6/CC, where my company switched from a perpetual licence to Creative Suite Cloud). 🤔
If there is a solution to your problem, you will get help with customer service as @kglad indicated.
*Lightroom started later than Creative Cloud, but was always included in the 100Gb plan. 100Gb is not enough for such a plan, so if you use Lightroom (not Classic), you will need to upgrade the cloud space.
