is there any way for me to only have and pay for after effects monthly? i had the plan of after effects for a year and i realized that i'm paying for apps that i don't use or have any intention to.

be careful when subscribing.  there are two monthly payment plans: the less costly one which requires a one year commitment and imposes a penalty for early termination, and the more costly month-to-month plan which requires no commitment and has no penalty for termination at any time.
