Hi, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong bit but considering the 'contact us and speak to a real person' link doesn't actually let me speak to anyone I'm not really sure where else to post it.
I registered for an adobe plan about 3 weeks ago which I was under the impression would just be a monthly plan. I've tried cancelling it today and there's a cancellation fee of over £160 because I'm a week late? Not only was I unaware of there being a cancellation fee after 2 weeks (frankly absurd) I also wasn't aware I was subscribed for a yearly plan as I was originally only wanting to use it for a month anyway due to a university art project.
What are my options here? I can't afford a yearly subscription, nor can I afford the ridiculous cancellation fees applicable. Things are difficult enough as is financially so I'm incredibly concerned I'm going to have to continue paying for a subscription service I was both under the impression would only be lasting a month anyway and cannot afford to keep paying for as is.
appeal for mercy from adobe support.

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-com...
