What plan did cost $18 before? Price increases get announced beforehand.

The change from one year intro to regular (Year 1 renewed to Year 2) does not seem to get announced.

From what I've gathered from previous posts on this subject, Adobe just charges the new amount.

Yes, if you have a one-year special offer, that offer states that the second year will get charged the full price. You may forget that it is that way, but you can't claim that it is not announced (even that it could be better, to announce the change to the full price).

Incidentally: people going to Adobe customer support may get a good deal … They just need to contact Adobe support. (That's a policy of many companies. My Washington Post subscription is also much cheaper than the regular price. This is called marketing. Marketing works the same, if you sell pencils or plants)

The last price i had was a student price I believe. but I only got a notice about the cloud save. Idk if I'm able to get a student price for the 2 year or if I still have to pay the price I have now which is okey.

up to one year after you're a qualifying student you're still eligible for student pricing.

Students have a super reduced price for the first year. That's stated in the contract when you take your subscription. The second year is about half of the standard price. I suggest, you contact Adobe support and check with them, if there is something in for you. It does not cost a lot to ask friendly, but you may get a lot happier.
