Question about my subscription renewal.

Hi, I have a question about my subscription renewal.
My renewal date is October 7, but I noticed a message saying that Adobe wasn’t able to process my payment and that I need to update it before October 7.

Could you please clarify:

1. When exactly does Adobe attempt to charge the renewal payment — is it on the renewal date (Oct 7) or a few days/weeks before?

2. If I plan to cancel my subscription before renewal, what is the latest safe date to cancel without being charged for the next term?

3. Does Adobe hold or pre-authorize any payment amount before the renewal date?

I just want to make sure I won’t be charged early if I choose to cancel before renewal.

a test charge is expected before your renewal date. 

and you must cancel before the renewal date in order to not be charged a cancellation fee.
