Thank you for your answer.
I have followed all the steps you provided, but the issue has not been resolved.
I still receive the following error message:
"Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application."
Is there anything else I can do?
if that's from trying to install/run the cc desktop app a better fix is the following. and if you followed the steps at adobe's damaged cc desktop site, skip to the clean install below and follow anew each step meticulously.
reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:
Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R
if that fails, repair per https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html
if that fails and you have windows, open your control pane
