I'm the technology director for our school. I signed up for the at-home downloads for our students as an extension of our current licensing, I guess. I received confirmation and some instructions for finalizing.  I followed those and then got confused.

This is the way I was told by an Adobe support rep that it should work:

  1. Student logs into Adobe site (uses the 'Signin with Google' option with the school's domain - pvpa.org)
  2. Student goes to the product they need to install, let's say InDesign.
  3. They click on the 'Try' button (or whatever it says now - it changed within the last 2 weeks.  It used to say Try and Buy. Now I think it says 'Start Trial' or something)
  4. Download and install the desktop application
  5. Run program and log in using their school account when asked by Adobe CC.
  6. Done.

What seems to be happening for every student now is:

.

.

.

4.  Please enter credit card information.

As you can imagine, that freaks them out.  What are we doing wrong?

Hi Thom,

Some months ago, Adobe changed the process to require credit card info "up front" before downloading for a free 7-day trial... So that's the "normal" way now with the steps you described (which the rep gave you).

However, check this Adobe guide and see if it helps:
