So I took the adobe 7 day free trial for a college project but never used any product. Before the trial ended I tried cancelling the plan but they did not let me. I contacted customer care and asked them to cancel my plan and delete my account but he was of no use. So the only way for me to escape this trap was to remove my payment details and so I did. This was december 2024. On the month of january I received emails from them saying I need to update my payment details as they were not able to charge me. I also received sms regarding failed transactions. I knew they would do this and it was a good thing I removed my payment details. At the same time I again tried cancelling my plan or deleting my account but they did not let me. I knew they had me trapped. But why worry, I removed my payment details right? Yea thats what I thought and yes in my adobe account the details are not there and a alert dialog is visible saying to update my payment details. Until today, February 14th I received sms saying money was debited from my account by adobe. How is that possible? after receiving several emails and sms stating the failed transactions due to missing payment methods how did they charge me. I immediety went to the the customer chat and spoke with an agent. I kept stating my issues on how I tried cancelling the subscribition but could not and how I was charged inspite providing no payment details. she did not give the answer to both and just kept saying refer the plan policy and other things. Also in order to cancel my plan I had to give additional payments. Ridiculous!! After a series of chats she told me I can cancel my subscription without getting charged. Wow! are these people for real? first they say I have to pay extra charges then they say no charges. What a reputed company. Hats off! Anyway I knew my chats were of no use and asked her to cancel it so I can finally be done with this . So I lost money and gained a big headache for nothing. Thanks Adobe.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

you can cancel your subscription (with no fee) IF you're within the cancellation period.

Alen, sorry for any confusion. I am showing that your plan is still active. Please use the steps listed in https://adobe.ly/3X4usfU to update your recent support case ADB-38605276-B8K7 if the plan is not canceled soon. ^JW

Wow, you just proved my point. Your customer care is of no use. Why is my plan still active? The person I chatted with said my plan has been cancelled and I would receive an email and that I wouldn't be charged anymore. What games are you people playing?

make sure you're aware of the cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html
if you're unable to follow the steps described, you'll need to await help from an adobe employee for the next step. (if you don't get a reply here from a badged employee within 24 hours, repost.)
and for info on how to cancel your subscription, this page describes the few steps involved, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

I have the same thing going on now. I chatted with someone from customer service to cancel my trial and membership. So they said they did and also sent me a confirmation of cancellation via email. I'm now getting an invoice but luckily also removed my card from my PayPal account. I contacted customer service again (two times) to confirm that my plan is cancelled, both times they did confirm it and said I can ignore the invoice as it should be fixed. Still nothing happened atm so have to conctact customer service again.
Also crazy to see how the same accounts pop up on every post trying to blame the user instead of admitting it's a scam...

adobe is the object of many scammers, and has been for years. i know you think adobe is the scammer, but someone else may be trying to use your card. in any case, report suspected fraudulent charges to your credit card company. that's what you should do when you see unrecognized charges on our credit card.
