When does Lightroom Subscription start?

Hello, i hear adobe's bumping up the price for lightroom, my current school is giving me the whole adobe suite but i'll lose it when i leave in september. I was thinking ahead and wondering if i could buy a years subscription ahead of time so i can save a bit when i start paying for it by myself. I was wondering if it activates when i pay for it or when i like redeem it or install the software?

you can extend the end of a subscription date by purchasing at any time.  just use the correct adobe id.

but make sure you're not using an email that your school will prevent you from accessing.
